El Banco es propiedad de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa y cuenta con varias infraestructuras: Jardín Botanico de Iturraran, Laboratorio Agroambiental de Fraisoro y viveros de Arizmendi. Las prioridades de conservación del Banco son la conservación de flora amenazada, especies endémicas y/o raras cuya distribución de limite al golfo de Bizkia, noroeste de la Península Ibérica y Pirineo occidental y la flora en general de la CAPV y territorios limítrofes.
